I have always had a passion for holistic health and wellness, and I knew I wanted to enter the healthcare field to help people in need. I chose to become a physical therapist because this field allowed me to pursue both of these passions. I can help people rehabilitate through movement and lifestyle changes rather than through medication and surgery.
The field of physical therapy is special in that we get to spend more time with our patients than most other health providers. Because of this time, we can be a source for our patients to help address the many factors that go into healing and recovery. It can be daunting to go into a doctor’s office with the objective of addressing all of your questions/concerns within a span of 15 minutes. With physical therapy, we get the luxury of time to be able to provide our patients with not only our expertise, but also guide them to any other
resources.
I truly love being able to help patients reach their goals. I want to be able to help patient’s feel like their best selves as quick as possible as well as provide them with tools to sustain their health and wellbeing for a lifetime.
I have worked with an expansive range of populations. I have successfully worked with and treated patients with temporomandibular disorder, pelvic floor disfunction, neurological dyregulation, and sport related rehabiliation.
I am always pushing myself to get out of my comfort zone rather that be learning a new skill, delving into a new experience, or pushing myself physically. Every year I pick one thing to strive for that feels impossible to me. I have never been a runner so my current personal goal to run a marathon. My current professional goal is to become dry needling certified.
